Even though the blue link and the red link are exactly the same, the second link appears in red. I'm guessing it's caused by the good old "dotless i, lowercase I" problem.

Bugs 33643, 33299, and 32707 may be of help if my assumption is correct.

No, that's not a dotless i problem. The "e" in the red link is not a Latin e, but a Cyrillic ะต ([[tr:Ye (Kiril)]]).
