Description carchaias 2012-07-03 09:28:11 UTC
The german "Umlauts" are not shown properly in Special:Unused Properties. Unfortunately it lists properties that are not "unused".

I noticed you set hardware to PC and OS to Windows Server 2003. Are you 100% sure this doesn't occur on other platforms?
Comment 3 carchaias 2012-07-03 18:15:39 UTC
It might occur on other platforms. I thought these fields to describe my system.
Comment 4 [[kgh]] 2012-07-13 21:53:04 UTC
I can confirm this for SMW 1.8 alpha though this bug is around for quite some time now. SMW 1.5.x was affected, too. However, except for corrupted listing and that it is not possible to navigate to them via Special:UnusedProperties I experienced no other side effects. The properties containing such characters are still there and functional.

Thus changing status to NEW and importance to low and minor. A fix would be cool though since I suspect that not only German "special" characters are affected.
Comment 5 Markus Krötzsch 2012-07-15 20:52:15 UTC
This bug is probably related to unusual or inconsistent character encoding settings in the database. See comments on Bug 30705.
