Description badon 2012-07-04 23:44:03 UTC
This problem was previously discussed in the mailing list here:

http://wikimedia.7.n6.nabble.com/Autoedit-behaves-odd-since-upgrade-from-SF2-2-1-to-SF-2-4-1-td4565765.html#a4749059

#autoedit produced this diff in SF 2.4.2:

http://www.coincompendium.com/w/index.php?title=CCS13651&action=historysubmit&diff=114471&oldid=114470

This is the code used to do that:

{{#autoedit: form=Sighting
| target=CCS13651
| link text=<span style="color:#0645AD;">Verify this page</span>
| query string=Sighting[Verified by]=[[User:Badon|Badon]] 23:24, 4 July 2012 (UTC)
| reload
}}

It should only have added the "Verified by" field, but it also removed the "Location" field data too. This kind of damage to data makes the #autoedit feature unsafe to use, so I marked this bug as "critical".
