In the log, English messages are displayed like, for example, 00:00, 11 July 2012 Example (talk | contribs) blocked ... However, Japanese message are displayed like 2012年7月11日 (水) 00:00 Example(会話 | 投稿記録)が ... There is no blank between "(talk | contribs)" and the previous/next letter in Japanese messages. I tried to insert blank into just before and after "(talk | contribs)", but could not find the message that defines this in Mediawiki namespace. Could you please help? Regards, Penn Station

Foo[SPACE MISSING HERE](会話 | 投稿記録) が 999.99.99.99[SPACE MISSING HERE](会話) を1週間ブロックしました。 Please note that you might see the second blank in this case, but this is just because that [[MediaWiki:Blocklogentry/ja]] has been modified to enforce blank at the beginning of the message. This blank is not originally necessary if there are blanks around "(会話 | 投稿記録)". Indeed, [[MediaWiki:Blocklogentry/en]] does not start with blank. You can also see examples on many other places such as watchlist, recent changes, page history, etc on the Japanese Wikipedia (or using "&setland=ja" on url). Anyway, Siebrand, spaces around the pipe are necessary and should not be removed. Could you please revert the change?

Yes, the problem was fixed. It took about 2 weeks to reflect the change on the jawiki, but now it works fine. Many thanks for your cooperation. I will change the status to "RESOLVED" with "FIXED".
