Description Antoine "hashar" Musso (WMF) 2012-07-11 13:38:58 UTC
https://labsconsole.wikimedia.org/wiki/Special:NovaAddress

In deployment-prep project, there is a upload.beta.wmflabs.org entry. The remove link is https://labsconsole.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?title=Special:NovaAddress&action=removehost&ip=208.80.153.219&project=deployment-prep&domain=deployment&hostname=upload aka the parameters are:

action=removehost
ip=208.80.153.219
project=deployment-prep
domain=deployment
hostname=upload

Note the domain is "deployment" despite the host entry being under beta.wmflabs.org.

When attempting to remove the entry:

> Are you sure you would like to remove host upload from 208.80.153.219?

I get:

> The requested host does not exist.

I tried changing the project / host etc in the URL to use wmflabs or beta as a domain. No luck so far. I guess it needs to be removed manually

Shouldn't this probably be filed under MW Extensions -> OpenStackManager?
Comment 2 Antoine "hashar" Musso (WMF) 2012-07-11 15:05:36 UTC
Might be a bug in the extension or in our labsconsole, I have no idea :/
Comment 3 Ryan Lane 2012-07-11 15:38:17 UTC
It's a bug in the extension. I've known about it for a while, but don't really care to fix it, since this code will be removed from the extension when we upgrade openstack (which has an API for this). I'll manually remove any entries that can't be deleted.
Comment 4 Ryan Lane 2012-07-11 15:46:03 UTC
Ok. Fixed this manually.
