In the mobile view, the input forms within the page content are removed. For example, http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Fundraising_2010/Messages/Inputbox includes an inputbox which is not visible on http://meta.m.wikimedia.org/wiki/Fundraising_2010/Messages/Inputbox or https://incubator.wikimedia.org/wiki/Incubator:Main_Page includes {{Special:SearchWiki}} which is not on incubator.m.wikimedia.org although you can clearly see the borders (fieldset). (Note: I am not sure in which product/component this should be filed.)
We currently scrub forms from the mobile site as we cannot guarantee they will work so this is a known bug but is something that needs to be fixed. At the very least we should provide a route to the desktop site for a user to get the form and make use of it. This is indeed the right place to file this bug. Thanks for doing so!
There's basically two things an inputbox form will do: * search * edit Search *ought* to work. Edit, if we go to it, should bring up desktop view -- subideal but usable in a real pinch. Sorta. :P :)
