Description Rainer Rillke @commons.wikimedia 2012-07-23 22:09:27 UTC
JFYI:

JSON:
{"upload":{"result":"Warning","warnings":{"duplicate":

If such an error is thrown UpWiz does not tell the user which the duplicate file is.

From now on, a line will be added to #mwe-upwiz-macro-files . This is not nice but until I wait a half year seeing this question reoccurring on [[:commons:Commons:Help desk]], I thought it was time to act.

Hey Rainer,

Based on the core patch [0], I wonder if this still happens. I mean, the purpose of the patch was to fix this behavior, so it would make sense.

Could you please try to reproduce and report back? It would greatly help triaging of bugs in this backlogged extension :)

Thanks!

When I tried yesterday along with Bug 38426 this was still an issue:

After uploading *no warning* was displayed; instead it asked me for a license and a description and after clicking publish, it told me there is such a file on this Wiki but didn't tell me which one. So this part is still active at https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/MediaWiki:UpwizDuplicateArchiveFix.js

Regards

This was fixed with https://gerrit.wikimedia.org/r/20814

This is not yet deployed on Commons.
