Description James Forrester 2012-07-27 18:03:22 UTC
Lines like:

  .*\(.+\)$ <newaccountonly> # Участник:%username%_(сексуалист)

... (from http://ru.wikimedia.org/wiki/MediaWiki:Titleblacklist but this is just an example) are unhelpful if your username is [[User:Jdforrester (WMF)]]. (Declaring my interest. :-) )

It's a tad annoying, as there's no socially-appropriate way of bypassing the local rule. However, it's not clear to me what the resolution is. Longer-term, we could do user name blocks globally rather than locally as part of our work towards final SUL switch-over, whenever that happens, but that's not helpful.

Seems to be working as designed. The problem here is the rule being too broad, the regex should probably be .*\(сексуалист\)$ <newaccountonly>
