Description Amir E. Aharoni 2012-07-31 04:08:57 UTC
People sometimes ask on the mobile feedback mailing list how can they use the saved pages. The usual reply is that the saved pages can only be used in the app itself.

It would be useful to save pages as PDFs or as other files that can be copied and used in other programs.

The latest versions of the native Android mobile Firefox browser app has a PDF saving functionality, which works quite well. Maybe it can be reused somehow.

Provisionally resolving this as WONTFIX as we're unlikely to do this specifically in the near future.

If there is a strong demand in the future, please reopen; there's some possible ways we could work on such things, but PDF generation on the server side needs to be redone sanely probably.

(Reusing Firefox's PDF output would require linking in Gecko which would add 20+M to the app.)
