Description Zack 2012-08-04 01:12:12 UTC
Please enable Extension:Lucene-search in Arabic Wikipedia for parameter prefix= to work.
Comment 1 Brion Vibber 2012-08-06 17:21:37 UTC
All Wikipedia sites are run through the Lucene search...

Manual use of 'prefix:' in a search appears to work, using Latin chars:
http://ar.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?search=prefix%3Aal&title=%D8%AE%D8%A7%D8%B5%3A%D8%A8%D8%AD%D8%AB

and seems to work with Arabic chars:
http://ar.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?search=prefix%3A%D8%A7%D9%84&title=%D8%AE%D8%A7%D8%B5%3A%D8%A8%D8%AD%D8%AB

What exactly isn't working as expected? Is it something with the input boxes themselves? Got an example page where it's failing?

That's right, thank you
