This was first reported at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Village_pump_(technical)#Categories_in_Google_Chrome where categories will sometimes display on multiple lines in Google Chrome. The appearance can be seen at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Categories_chrome.png.

This is not limited to English Wikipedia. Can be seen on
https://cdo.wikipedia.org/wiki/B%C3%A1e%CC%A4k-g%C4%ADng

Google Chrome 21 under Windows 7, not using any gadgets and JavaScript enabled.

As far as I can determine, this is a bug in Chrome 21.

I can not reproduce this in the latest Chromium nightly build 22.0.1228.0 (150046), so likely, Chrome users just have to wait for Chrome 22.

Indeed, fine in Canary, currently broken in Dev

Marking this bug fixed since the latest version of Chrome does not show this issue anymore.
