The gadgets tab has disappeared and set gadgets have stopped at meta.  Checked with two other experienced suers confirm the absence. Woe!

Special:Gadgets is empty as well.

PS: I never sued anybody...

Hmm, strange. I confirm that there is currently no "Gadgets" tab at <https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Special:Preferences>.

My first thought was that the Gadgets extension had been uninstalled, but it's still listed at <https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Special:Version>.

My second thought was that there was some kind of JavaScript error, but I don't see anything in my browser's error console.

Weird.

Gadgets-definition seems to be correct as well.

I've recached gadgets with a null edit to MediaWiki:Gadgets-definition, the bug itself has already been reported.
