Description MZMcBride 2012-08-07 21:52:43 UTC
Following bug 35248 and the general trend of making #wikimedia-tech a (tech) help channel, please remove nagios-wm from #wikimedia-tech. It can continue to report issues in #wikimedia-operations (or #wikimedia-status or really anywhere besides #wikimedia-tech).

I believe the bot was already removed from #wikimedia-tech previously, but it recently re-appeared on or near August 3, I'm told.

More precisely, removed with Gerrit change #2675 and reappeared on August 2,

#wikimedia-tech

Please contact the operations team. Daniel Zahn or Leslile Carr should be able to help.

Comment 4 Daniel Zahn 2012-08-13 23:24:40 UTC
killed the process and restarted. First wondered as well why it would keep rejoining the channel but then found it was hardcoded in /usr/local/bin/start-nagios-bot and removed it from there.
