We had a bunch of issues piled together here.

1. We're having some issues with DNS entries being populated properly. I've fixed that with a live-hack in OpenStackManager. It'll be fixed permanently with the openstack upgrade. This issue meant that the allow rules in gluster volumes weren't being set properly.
2. The gluster upgrade made the commands return differently, making the script not run properly. The script has been updated to reflect these changes.
3. Gluster had some weird state issue after the upgrade. I restarted all daemons cleanly, which fixed the state issue.

Short version: this is fixed now.
