Description Daniel Kinzler 2012-08-08 10:29:59 UTC
In contrast to wikitext pages, item pages have no edit functionality when showing an old revision. It would be useful to instead show a (restore) link that can be used to restore the revision displayed. We already have this in diff views, but it's missing from old rev views.

Also include a (restore) link in the page history.
Comment 2 Michał Łazowik 2012-08-11 20:01:51 UTC
You mean (reset) link to action=reset?
Comment 3 Daniel Kinzler 2012-08-12 09:12:59 UTC
I mean a (restore) link to action=edit&restore=12345 which then gets handled by Wikibase\EditEntityAction. But yea it's close.
Comment 4 Michał Łazowik 2012-08-14 20:45:29 UTC
Where it should be located? As a button between "Read" and "View history"?
Comment 5 denny vrandecic 2012-08-15 10:56:58 UTC
I guess that is a reasonable place - and similar to where it is for normal wiki pages. And it is not a one click action afterwards, but has to be confirmed, so I'd say "Yes, a link between Read and View history" is good.
