Diving down through United States -> us-ar, I see things like:

[[Arkansas County, Arkansas]]

these should either be clean plaintext to begin with, or should strip the wikitext out and display without the [[]] brackets.

This is related (maybe the same?) to bug 38386
No translation is currently done on what the api returns. Probably for things wrapped in square brackets we should just strip the square brackets.
