Dumps have been added to http://archive.org/details/wikiteam for most mediawikis.
It would be useful to have a column with a link to the dumps if available.
It must be in this format: <http://archive.org/search.php?query=originalurl%3A%28en.citizendium.org%2Fapi.php%29> (just use the same API URL, but without protocol). If the search gives no results, no link should be provided (this will also allow to easily spot wikis which need downloading).

Hmpf, that search no longer works, the bare domain does: https://archive.org/search.php?query=%28en.citizendium.org%29
Or: https://archive.org/search.php?query=originalurl%3A%28citizendium%29

They made a metadata API but it's not for querying: http://blog.archive.org/2013/07/04/metadata-api/

so, are we giving up on this one because archive.org doesnt support it anymore?

It does support search, you just need to strip the path and protocol: https://archive.org/search.php?query=%28en.citizendium.org%29
