"Recently, the search function added a search suggestion list as you type. This is nice, but the site now forces the user to click a suggestion when one used to be able to just hit the Enter key. Having to unnecessarily take your hands off the keyboard, or keypad".. "Prior to the change (and on the regular Wiki site), you'd end up on the Search Results page, where you could select an appropriate article."

More worrying, I can't actually type in the search box at present on our WP7.5 test device.

I tap in to the search area, the keyboard pops up, the search view shows up, and the keyboard hides away before I can type anything.

This more then likely to be related to the fix for bug 37945

Hmm... the original issue mentioned sounds like it *is* bug 37945; I don't see how the fix for that <https://gerrit.wikimedia.org/r/24644> could cause the behavior I'm seeing... maybe something funky about how focus and blur are handled though...

Brion - I was referring to the original bug which I think is related to non-beta
I think you have another bug - Bug 40754 which applies to the beta
