Currently users do not know which settings they have set there (at least I see all fields empty in spite of being subscribed). Please show a form with that information, and allow the users to easily unsubscribe from the system by creating an unsubscribe button. Regards.
Some editors have been asking recently how to unsuscribe at meta: 1) <https://meta.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?title=Talk:Translation_requests&oldid=4156816#Opt-out> 2) <https://meta.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?title=Wikimedia_Forum&oldid=4173722#Question> 3) <https://meta.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?title=User_talk:Translation_Notification_Bot&oldid=4173321> Regards.
Bumping, since we're keeping receiving questions about how to unsuscribe.
Patch: https://gerrit.wikimedia.org/r/#/c/56922/
The patch was merged, but not deployed yet. Before the patch the preferences were deleted when a user changed any other preference using Special:Preferences. Most likely this is the thing that caused the confusion. This is not supposed to happen any more.
Updated the summary to what the actual problem was. With Gerrit change #56922 this issue is now resolved. We will plan deployment on Wikimedia next Tuesday.
The new bug summary is absolutely not what comment 0 complained about. That said, I've no idea if the original report is fixed too.
