AFT5-Bug-HideMyPost-iPad-Unhide-Flyout-Unusable-Screenshot-08-28-2012.jpg

When I try to unhide my posts on the Feedback Page using iPad, the flyout is unusable because it is too far to the left.

This is caused in part by a separate issue, which is that on iPad the bottom line of each post tends to wrap around, causing the 'Unhide' button to appear all the way to the left, as shown in the attached screenshot.

A possible solution would be to have the flyout appear *above* the 'Hide my post' or 'Unhide my post' links for registered users that are not yet editors. So the arrow on the flyout would point down instead of to the right.

Note that this is not an issue for confirmed editors, who get the standard implementation of the 'Hide' tool in the right sidebar.

And although this issue is experienced most strongly on the iPad, I believe the proposed solution would work across all desktop platforms, not just iPad.

For the record, here is an example of what the flyout looks like with a 'Hide' link that is not wrapped around to the left of the screen. Here, the problem is not as accute as with the other screenshot, but it could happen anyway if there is extra text before that link. So I believe we need a solution that works for both 'Hide' and 'Unhide' links.

Fix pushed to Gerrit (https://gerrit.wikimedia.org/r/#/c/21894/) & prototype - tipsy has built-in direction-detection that should do the trick ;)

Note that this flyout issue is also apparent on Mac desktop browsers, when used with the reader version of the 'Hide my post' link, as shown in the attached screenshot.
