A big "exit" button is shown immediately after logging in. This is very confusing. It's unclear what the user should do next. Tapping the button takes the user out, which is pointless, because the user just logged in.

Could you be more specific?
What steps should I take to replicate this?

Do you mean the Logout button? In the latest release the login flows straight into the upload.
