A database query syntax error has occurred. This may indicate a bug in the software. The last attempted database query was: (SQL query hidden) from within function "Revision::insertOn". Database returned error "1054: Unknown column 'rev_sha1' in 'field list' (10.8.52.56)". It says that when I first edited a page, an a bug is in the software. Can you please fix it? http://cptb.wikia.com

Sounds like a bug in Wikia's setup, this shouldn't be happening in a clean 1.19.1 install.
Comment 2 WiiWare 2012-09-03 12:15:44 UTC

Good morning,

You're on the MediaWiki and Wikimedia projects bug tracker, to report:
- bugs and feature requests related to the MediaWiki software itself
- configuration request related to the Wikimedia sites (Wikipedia, Wikimedia Commons, Wikinews, etc.).

Wikia is a commercial free hosting service for wikis. As everybody is entitled to, they use our technology MediaWiki.

Let me offer you an analogy. Would you ask directly to Nissan to support issues with a delivery parcel service using Nissan cars? It's what you're doing here.

We're sorry you encounter problems with them, but we can't offer you any support on these issues, as we aren't linked in any way with Wikia.

We don't know how they work to fix this kind of issues.

According http://www.wikia.com/Careers I'm confident they've people to process bug reports and act on this.

I would also like to stress you've another choice than using Wikia: order your own domain name and a traditional web hosting service, install MediaWiki yourself and run your wiki under your own control. That would transfer the burden and possibilities of technical maintenance from them to you and would allow you to have full control.

Note You need to log in before you can comment on or make changes to this bug.
