{{formatnum}} in i18n messages does not work if a message is used in by JavaScript mw.msg().

It would be nice to have this implemented for JS messages.  Otherwise, there's not necessarily a way for translators to know which messages are used in JS and they might use this, and the message shows an error.

Please also report separate bugs for any JS messages you encounter not using localised numbers. Those can be fixed in a better way.

Behaviour is ideally equal to that as documented in http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Help:Magic_words#Formatting.

Gerrit change #44222 merged by Nikerabbit on the 21st. Is this bug resolved now?
