Details

Description Sam Reed (reedy) 2012-09-27 00:19:51 UTC
OpenDyslexic is an open source font written to help sufferers of dyslexia

http://dyslexicfonts.com/

Having support for this seems potentially rather useful for a lot of people!

Be nice if we can beat Google in supporting it ;)
Comment 2 Sam Reed (reedy) 2012-09-27 00:44:18 UTC
Might also be worth logging some bugs to get this support into our mobile site/apps
Comment 3 Santhosh Thottingal 2012-09-27 04:36:57 UTC
Added the font in gerrit Ia4b18cf0. Added it as non-default font for English

Font smoothing fix

I think the version added in this bug had issues with windows font smoothing. I didn't know if anyone fixed that before adding it in, so I attached a fixed version. You may want to try it on windows.

Thanks for including the font in Wikimedia. This is awesome. :D

Thanks, Could you please update this version in https://github.com/antijingoist/open-dyslexic ? We would like to follow an upstream repository releases.

Comment 7 Santhosh Thottingal 2012-10-08 04:02:32 UTC
Patchset 5 of gerrit Ia4b18cf0 added it as non-default font for following languages
en,af,pt,es,sw,de,fi,sq,fr,hu,ca,da,fo,ga,is,ms,sv,wa,lb,gd,oc,tr,mi,it,et,cy

Changing component to ULS. WebFonts is being deprecated and newer fonts will go into ULS extension which contains web fonts functionality
Comment 9 Gerard Meijssen 2012-11-14 06:20:49 UTC

Please open a new issue. Adding new requirements is not ground for reopening.
