Description Daniel A. R. Werner 2012-09-29 19:12:51 UTC
Something seems wrong with the Bugzilla configuration here. I tried to change my email twice already. Each time I got emails for confirmation and I have confirmed them but the system is still using my original email.
Comment 1 Andre Klapper 2012-10-08 22:35:36 UTC
https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=account does not even allow me to change my address. Is there some Single Sign-On (SSO) in place?

Daniel: Does that mean that https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=account still displays your old address?
Or only that bugmail is delivered to your old address?
Comment 2 Thehelpfulone 2012-10-08 22:39:46 UTC
Andre, on that first link if you put an email address in "New email address" and hit submit changes, what message do you get?
Comment 3 Andre Klapper 2012-10-08 22:48:02 UTC
I don't even get any ""New email address"" field here, and I realize that this is likely due to the fact that I changed my address recently (today).
Probably some protection against $something. So I'm not really of much help. :(

Andre Klapper:
https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=account does not really display me any email address. But on the top right next to the 'log out' button my old email is displayed, I also get mails to my old address.

Hmm, sounds like your email change confirmation never ended up in Bugzilla. Not sure what's wrong, probably needs somebody to take a look at mail logs.
Comment 6 Andre Klapper 2012-10-10 13:23:53 UTC
Oh, just noticed that the "completion" date is in the future...
I guess I'll be able to change my email address tomorrow again, will see.

Might be interesting to also get a screenshot from you.

Change mail settings

My settings. No email displayed, just the field to enter a new one (requires to enter PW as well). I did that before as described in the initial post.

That's all correct and normal.
No idea though why your email address does not get reset. You received an email to both email addresses and confirmed the change by clicking on the token link, or how?
Comment 9 Daniel A. R. Werner 2012-10-12 15:25:54 UTC
I tried again now, I was able to change it this time. Thanks for all support!

The only strange thing is that the mail to my old address said:
> the change will be made permanent after 3 days
which is not true, it was permanent immediately!
