Description jeblad 2012-10-17 10:06:41 UTC
In QuantityValue there is an accuracy for the quantity of some unit. The accuracy of some kind of measurement is a rather complex beast and often relates to probabilities and hard bounds. An unspecified numeric accuracy can be rather confusing.

That said it is kind of difficult to imagine something intuitive and simple for non-technical people.
Comment 1 Jeroen De Dauw 2012-10-17 12:33:09 UTC
It's currently implemented as described in the data model.

Denny, Markus and me actually discussed this in March back at the old temporary office after I raised the same concern. The decision that was made there was to stick to what the data model contains for now.

If you want to re-open the discussion, please do involve Markus and Denny.

Denny: As you set this report to ASSIGNED, who is working on this?
In this case assignee is wikibugs-l@ which means "nobody".

Verified and discussed in Wikidata demo sprint 28
