I'm running SMW 1.8 beta 2 and when I view any property page e.g. Property:Event Type, I get the following fatal error:

Fatal error: Call to undefined method Message::numParams() in /var/www/webapps/wpcc_dev/extensions/SemanticMediaWiki/includes/articlepages/SMW_PropertyPage.php on line 112

The problem is due to a recent change that broke backwards compatibility with MediaWiki 1.17. A workaround is to upgrade MediaWiki, but we will also fix this to work with MW 1.17 again before the next release.
