Description [[kgh]] 2012-10-28 22:52:18 UTC
If I understand correctly, this page is currently a work in progress. So this is just to make aware of its current behaviour:

Messages "Smw property template" and "Smw unusedproperty template" are basically the same. However, while the latter message works for Special:UnusedProperties as expected the first does not for its special page Special:Properties. The placeholders are not filled with values in the intended order.

The display for special properties is different to "Smw property template" but imho how it should be.

Changing the status to High - major since this is a frequently used special page.
Comment 2 Markus Krötzsch 2012-10-29 14:53:22 UTC
It should be checked before changing code here if this is a translation error. There are some other cases of English messages where a parameter that the other languages have has been lost in translation, maybe it has been changed in order here. I wonder if there is any support for checking if all language versions of one message do at least use the same parameter identifiers (of course one cannot check the order there).
Comment 3 [[kgh]] 2012-10-29 15:00:57 UTC
No it is definitely not a translation error. The system messages were not changed since SMW is supported by tw.n (see below). The code filling these parameters must have changed somehow since the release of SMW 1.7.1

I do not recommend changing the system message but changing the way the parameters are filled in the extension's code.

Yes, I can confirm that tw.n automatically checks if all parameter identifiers are used.

We also have bug 29422.
Comment 5 [[kgh]] 2012-10-31 20:36:14 UTC
Indeed. Thus closing this as RESOLVED DUPLICATE since 29422 is the older bug report.
