There is a need to be able to link in wikitext to stuff, an not via the ids. For example: [[wd:enwiki:France|France]] (maybe this would also be used externally, such as on the wikipedias, with "wd" interwiki prefix to wikidata) Whatever linking syntax needs to not conflict with the interwiki linking stuff. or perhaps with parser functions or something: {{#enwiki:France|France}} This would be a redlink if Special:ItemByTitle/enwiki/France does not exist and would be a blue link to the item that has the site link, if it does exist. Such ability would make stuff like the Countries Task Force much easier to do: http://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Wikidata:Countries_Task_Force It would be very nice to get this into the next deployment of the repo.

Can be simulated by a template, but this would not redlink the link if it does not exist yet.
