This was on my Galaxy Nexus, Android 4.1. Bug should be independent of device and OS though, as long as it's got the new themeing support in.

Steps to repro:
* go into settings and switch theme to 'solarized dark'
* switch phone into airplane mode to disable network
* try to load a page

We won't get round to fixing this probably on the PhoneGap app; make sure new app handles it better. :)
