Description [[kgh]] 2012-11-08 01:51:33 UTC
The behaviour for showing further results changed in SMW 1.7. Now the value from parameter "limit" is used as an offset to show further results. Additionally this value is now also used as the number of further results to be shown initially on Special:Ask. Before the offset on Special:Ask was at 0 with 20 results initially shown.

This leads to two possible usability enhancements:
1) "continue" - parameter to set the offset for results on Special:Ask // This one is not too important and it would be a bit contradictory when thinking of further results. Basically this on would be like "offset" but just for Special:Ask.
2) "number" - parameter to set the number of results shown on Special:Ask // This one is more useful especially for queries with a small limit below 5 and heaps of further results. This would help avoiding an extra click on one of the selectable numbers on Special:Ask. Basically this one would be like "limit" but just for Special:Ask.

Hmm..., this bug is more about enhancement 2)

I agree with Karsten here. I would suggest that the limit is simply not set by further results and that the default of Special:Ask is used instead. This also would be a better match with the Special ask navigation bar.
