Looks like somehow this user was able to bypass the logged-in only gate set on mobile editing: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Contributions/68.83.89.43

Not sure how they managed to do that, but we should probably figure it out :)

There is no "logged-in only gate set on mobile editing"
The edit page is accessible to any user who knows how to access it.
We still render the edit page for these users - we just don't make it easy for them to discover.

This user probably just added &action=edit to the end of the url. 

It's always been possible to do this - but previously the url would have redirected to the desktop site.
