Description MZMcBride 2012-11-15 02:09:26 UTC
Somewhat related to bug 42127, it seems <https://labsconsole.wikimedia.org/> has features such as page counters enabled. This is evident by the text "This page has been accessed 26,128 times." at the bottom of <https://labsconsole.wikimedia.org/wiki/Main_Page>.

The wiki's settings should be tweaked, I think. There are measurable performance gains from a few simple changes (such as disabling hit counters).

Hit counters is basically the only tweak not done. We could also add a front-end cache, but realistically it'll just add trouble. labsconsole doesn't really need to be blazingly fast, overall.

Disabled page counters.
