Description Woojin Kim 2012-11-17 08:32:29 UTC
There is an item called "서울특별시" in Korean (Q8684). And there is a redirect page "서울" which redirects to "서울특별시 in Korean Wikipedia. When I try to find "서울" by ItemByTitle at Wikidata, it shows nothing. To precent duplicate, I propose when users find titles which it is used as redirect page, to make ItemByTitle redirect automatically, or at least, show "Did you mean: blah". Thank you.

At present ItemByTitle will not follow redirects on internal or external pages, or aliases or labels. They use site id and title from the sitelinks entries to find the correct item.
