Description Sisa 2012-11-22 00:09:37 UTC
I have uploaded a few files in the format 1440x1080 transcoded via ffmpeg to the webm container. In ffmpeg I used the parameter "-aspect 16:9". Uploaded files however seems to be interpreted as square source (see also the different thumbnails and transcoded video formates). Example: http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Xylocopa_violacea_male_-_2012-10-23.webm
Regards, Ingo

Now for me the following streams are displayed in 16:9: 360p webm, 480p webm, 720p webm.
Not correct working is 480p ogg. On the file page: the size of the preview is 800×600 pixels (should be 800×450), the video is displayed with proper aspect ratio however between black stripes. Also all generated preview pictures are in wrong formates (320×240, 640×480, 1024×768, 1280×960).
