sDrewth> stewards should only be on there for serious matters, not link fixes

I therefore request Wikimania wikis to be reopened, or they'll decay without hope.
In this case I needed to fix the linkrot which bug 42317 caused.

Archives are archives, and should be a product of their time, and not amended. So maybe the decision is whether these are archives or not.

To me, this needs a look at the original decision process about why they are closed and whether they are archived. If there is to be a policy change, get it discussed/clarified/ratified/rectified via an RFC. I don't think that it is a staff job to have to interpret what is a policy function.

If you need curatorial work done on these closed wikis, then have the scope of works classified, and maybe even put in place a curatorial team able to do it. Or get it assigned to the stewards if that be the communities decision.

[ +shellpolicy keyword, per comment 1 ]

Just today I wanted to edit another wikimania page to link a bug which followed up on it, but billinghurst explained me again (I forgot he already did) how reusable content should be elsewhere... Indeed it seems I'm the only one wanting this, and after all I wouldn't even help managing the spam so it's not fair to insist. ;)

It is trivial to give any user a right to edit any locked public wiki. In my opinion it is not matters that should be resolved in this place.

Is it?
