Description Ad Strack van Schijndel 2012-11-28 16:20:01 UTC
Moving a page gives different results with respect to properties depending on leaving or not leaving behind a redirect.

Without a redirect the properties of the page are set after the move.

With a redirect the properties are not set after the move.

Hi guys,
this seems to me an important enough bug, but nothing is happening. Why is that?
Comment 2 Andre Klapper 2012-12-13 11:46:38 UTC
Because nobody who is interested in fixing it has contributed a patch yet.
Comment 3 Ad Strack van Schijndel 2012-12-13 12:44:51 UTC
It makes Yarons recommendation in his book to do moves with redirect a little deceptive since the page is semantically deleted when it is moved with redirect.

I would love to contribute a patch. The problem is that I don't know PHP and I have no clue where to look and what to do.

Is there another way that I can contribute so that somebody else fixes the bug?

I'm somewhat sure that this issue has been solved with SMW 1.9 for cases where
$smwgCacheType, $smwgAutoRefreshOnPurge, and $smwgAutoRefreshOnPageMove are set.

PS: If you want to help, those settings have not yet found a home on smw.org similar to [1].

I've created the Help-pages for these settings. Description etc is empty though, since I cannot find out what they do and what default settings are.

SemanticMediaWiki.settings.php does have some more details on those settings.
