On a fresh 1.20.1 install there is no chance to confirm email adresses. MW say the confirmcode has timed out perhaps. 

The german message is

"Ungültiger Bestätigungscode. Möglicherweise ist der Bestätigungszeitraum verstrichen. Versuche bitte, die Bestätigung zu wiederholen. "

There are more people who suffer this.
