I'm not sure why, but looks like Echo is eating my new message orange notification box. I've missed a user talk edit by hours.

This is intentional, but you should receive user talk edit notification alert via Echo 'Notifications' overlay and emails

Intentional? Why should one not see user talk messages? Are they mixed up with everything else in the notifications popup?

Could you please point me to a screenshot, mockup or something? I don't know of what notification you're talking about (there are so many). Thanks.

Echo is enabled on test, test2 and mediawiki, I am assuming you are referring to user talk page edit on mediawiki.org?

When you get a new user talk page edit, you would see a red badge next to 'Notifications' link, see screenshot 1. If you click on the link, there will be an overlay listing recent notifications, see screenshot 2.

As they say in the movies, "It's a feature, not a bug". Closing as invalid unless there's something actionable here.

The movie sequel is having its première at <https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Wikipedia_talk:Notifications&oldid=553166228#Are_you_nuts.3F>
