It seems that an unnecessary ajax request ( to get the sections) and then to recontruct the page is made on first loading an article.

This should not happen. It should only happen on hijacked links/search.

Sorry I had a very confused stupid moment. This is of course expected behaviour - the content isn't there so it must make this ajax request to get them. Not sure what was quite going on in my brain.
