The following query on Polish wikipedia returns invalid XML:
http://pl.wikipedia.org/w/api.php?action=query&titles=File%3AChrysler.svg&prop=imageinfo&iiprop=url&format=xml&redirects

There is a space after tag opening: "< imagerepository="">"

Here's the information about MediaWiki version used on Polish Wikipedia from Special:Version:

MediaWiki	1.21wmf7 (56dfaf4)
PHP	5.3.10-1ubuntu3.4+wmf1 (apache2handler)
MySQL	5.1.53-wm-log

And it "closes" that tag with </>, apparently.

This is the same problem as bug 43849, just a different symptom.
