GoogleNewsSitemap should be enabled on every wikinews project
For the record: as a wikinewsie I agree (as the extension is more often used for making per topic rss feeds than anything to do with google)
I've done the easy part in https://gerrit.wikimedia.org/r/#/c/44621/ wmgGNSMfallbackCategory and wmgGNSMcommentNamespace need setting where appropriate. The "hard" part is working out how to do the google side of things. It'd be nice to do it for all the remaining projects in one go..

Ill try and come up with a list of appropriate values for different wikinews languages in the next couple of days. > The "hard" part is working out how to do the google side of things. It'd be > nice to do it for all the remaining projects in one go.. Note that this is not just a hit submit and go thing. Google has to approve each new request for inclusion. In some cases they have rejected wikis unless they have a formal-review-before-publish policy. Not all wikinews langs have such a policy (other times they have seemed not to care)
Gerrit change #44621.
got a question. i'm logged in GWT as the noc user but haven't done this before. i see the list of sites we manage. so i see the regular names like "en.wikinews.org", "fr.wikinews.org" but in the search window i also find "sitemap.wikimedia.org/sitemap/enwikinews" and so on. it seems like both have separate settings for user/site owners. so how do i properly delegate the needed powers to Sam? I add him in both? also, do i really have to click each language separately, there seems to be no (*).wikinews.org to catch them all.
