At Special:EducationProgram, the table of totals currently lists 12 Online Ambassadors and 18 Campus Ambassadors.

By my count, there are actually 26 Online Ambassadors listed at Special:OnlineAmbassadors right now.

There are 16 Campus Ambassadors listed at Special:CampusAmbassadors, although that difference may be explained by profiles that are not publicly listed. (At least one of those, mine, is in the system.)

Also, what counts as an "active" course? Is that a synonym for Current on this page?

Yes.

Public listing does not affect the count. What does is linking to courses. If an ambassador is not linked to any course, they will not be counted. This can be changed to just count everyone with the ambassador right. Or everyone ambassador with a profile. Or every amb with public profile.

Special:EducationProgram is disabled and we have no plans to reenable it.
