Several times, I tried to edit the Grand Manan Island page on Wikipedia, simply to add [[--]]'s around the words "Passamaquoddy Bay", in order to form a new link to n existing page of that name. I was using an iPad browser to do it. Although the preview showed that all was okay, the actual outcome was to duplicate large amounts of the text. The same edit subsequently worked fine using Chrome on a Mac, so it doesn't seem to be a problem with the page contents. Thanks for taking the time to report this! Which browser is this about? Safari? Could you provide browser version information, please? Did you try to edit the entire page, or just the section?
