A Wikipedia editting workshop is going to be conducted in K.J.Somaiya Engineering college, Mumbai on 31st Jan, Thursday. This will include an intro Wikipedia, an editing workshop and hands-on basic editing. We are expecting about 40 participants. One of the things we'd like to do is encourage potential newbie participants to create their own usernames during the session and proceed with hands-on editing. Could I please request you to remove the 7 username in a 6 hour period on English Wikipedia for the following IP address 192.168.8.56 and 192.168.6.62 for the duration for the workshop (between 09.30am and 14.00pm UTC.) The Workshop is slated to last for three hours, but am requesting it a little longer, in case we are over time or someone stays back to edit.) I know it should ideally have been requested a little prior, but the co-ordinating team from college was able to procure the IP only today.
Gerrit change #46547 Is there a page on the English Wikipedia about this workshop?
Just in case this gets late: If you think such a request has gone unnoticed and the event is about to start, go to the IRC channel #wikimedia-tech on Freenode IRC and ask for help. (See http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/IRC for general info on using IRC.)
