I dunno if that's anything we can change, but it's kind of annoying when trying to submit a bug and such.

Do you refer to https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/enter_bug.cgi ?
Might make sense to file the request upstream in bugzilla.mozilla.org as this is nothing that we have changed.
