I was told by a developer to file a bug report for this, and that it could be resolved...even though it isn't a bug. I lost the password to my WP account and had recently unattached my email and my WP account because I was going to change my email and put in an email dedicated to WP purposes. Unfortunately that got delayed. I forgot the PW to the account because my browser remembered it and automatically inserted it -- and when I re-installed Windows, of course, it didn't remember it. If there is any way to add the email address back to the account, that would be great. I can prove that I own the account because I created an alternate account to use on public computers before I lost access, and confirmed I owned both account -- and I still have access to the alternate one. Is there any hope? I know this isn't a bug, and I was hesitant on posting it here, but a developer said I should post here, so, I apologize profusely if this is terribly incorrect.

Sorry I forgot to include the username -- it's tofutwitch11 and the alternate account is tofutwitch12. Mainly use EN.WP.

I don't think so. This bug is just waiting for a shell user to fix it.

Interesting, Tofutwitch12 did have an email address set in the central auth database. All fixed now
Right, I have access to tofutwitch12 -- but not to tofutwitch11. That's what the issue is. Can you add the tofutwitch11@aol.com email address to the tofutwitch11 account? I've proved I own both accounts above. Thanks Again

I suspect there's likely a cache entry in Memcached depending on when you last tried to use it. I've invalidated the cache entry for that user now. Try again.
It seems to have worked now -- just waiting for the email. Sam, thank you so much for resolving this issue. It feels great to have my account back.
Actually, turns out, it's still not working. It says "There is no email address recorded for user Tofutwitch11".
