Description Sage Ross 2013-02-15 19:45:07 UTC
Guiders are positioned with the attachTo: and position: thingies, but this doesn't give enough flexibility to position guiders, especially relative to an edit window. One idea is that it would be useful to be able to place guiders to the *inside* of the specified element.

Any sort of positioning option that will get a guider within the edit window but away from the top left will be useful for tours that involve interaction with the edit window (ie, instructions about what to put in the edit window).

Do you mean specifically that you want to be able to point to items during editing, but not have the guider overlap with the edit input area at all?

With wikitext, this is potentially doable, but with VE this seems nearly impossible, since everything except the lefthand sidebar and top toolbar makes up the edit surface.
