Description BKuhl 2013-02-18 17:14:16 UTC
I just setup a new Wiki with this extension last week and myself and another gmail account were able to create accounts successfully. My wife's account will not create, she gets the following Exception.

[22ac4338] 2013-02-18 17:08:46: Fatal exception of type MWException

I need more details, for example the version of your mediawiki, and PHP, see https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension_talk:OpenID#First_aid_checklist .

If you wish, you can contact me in the chat irc://freenode/#mediawiki (Wikinaut).

Sure...

Here's a link to the special version page: http://bbowlwiki.benkuhl.com/Special:Version

I enabled the logging and checked the log with no luck. No logs were being written despite chmod of 777.

The exception being thrown is... Invalid notification type notify
Comment 3 BKuhl 2013-02-18 19:52:24 UTC
I obtained the exception by using try/catch.

This is a fresh install with only 3 prior OpenIDs
Comment 4 T. Gries 2013-02-18 19:54:51 UTC
Your script path does not look ok ( "[ ]" ), and your OpenID is not version 2.02 (which is the current and latest one).,

I suggest, you make a fresh installation of the extension and the library.

did you run

maintenance/php update.php

?
Comment 6 BKuhl 2013-02-18 20:17:36 UTC
The error is still persisting, but I've debugged it to the point where I know it's not an OpenID issue.

I'm sorry for wasting your time!

Thanks for reporting.
Comment 8 BKuhl 2013-02-18 21:28:23 UTC
The issue was with the "Echo" extension. However, I'm now experiencing an issue with the login/create account URLs not pointing to OpenID. I've double checked my Wiki and OpenID configuration and didn't see anything that I thought would affect this: http://bbowlwiki.benkuhl.com
