Hi TheChampionMan1234,
unfortunately this report is not very useful because it does not describe the problem well. For future reference, please read https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/How_to_report_a_bug and provide a more useful description instead of two links and an assumption in the bug summary. :)

Trying to understand and reproduce, and explaining my steps here:

1. Go to http://sw.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?search
2. Enter "apple" as search term
3. Choose "Google" from the radio button list of
   "MediaWiki search | Global WP | Google | Wikiwix | Yahoo! | Windows Live"
4. Get results delivered from http://www.google.cat/ (that's the Catalan Wikipedia - probably refered to as French in the bug summary).

I tried to reproduce in other Wikipedia languages, and wondered where the search bar comes from: de.wp, cs.wp do not offer it.

http://fr.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?search offers it.

So I looked at http://sw.wikipedia.org/wiki/MediaWiki:Common.js and you can see that it mentions http://www.google.cat .

So anybody on sw.wp with sufficient permissions can edit the JavaScript on that page in order to fix the problem. There is no "software bug" that needs fixing by Wikimedia developers, hence closing as INVALID for this bugtracker.

and the Afrikaans Wikipedia come up with a page in afrikaans, but the domain is http://www.google.fr and it is site:kipedia.org rather than af.wikipedia.org

http://www.google.fr/search?hl=af&q=afrikaans&as_sitesearch=kipedia.org

Okay, how does that gotta do with caWP when the google page is clearly in french, the domain is http://www.google.cat but the page is in french, so it dosen't really matter what domain but they should change the URL to http://google.xx/?hl=sw

I don't know Google's internal decisions when to display their website in which language (e.g. based on your IP address / country you are located in, or your prefered languages in your browser). Google could answer that. :)

It says on one line
label.href = engine.Template.replace("{searchTerms}", initValue).replace("{language}", "fr");
change fr to sw
